Review of hardware and how it performs under Linux

Under Linux finding hardware for doing video capture can often be a problematic endeavor. Proprietary devices with Proprietary drivers can often make finding hardware that works well and easily under Linux difficult. There are only a few devices which just work under Linux. Today I’ll give you my thoughts on the IVS Imaging HDMI to USB converter a device which is a UVC class compliant device, making this a rare video capture device which is just plug and play under Linux.

I would like to thank IVS Imaging for sending me the HDMI To USB Converter to review. They sent me this unit knowing that I would only be reviewing it under Linux. It is rare that a company would send a review unit out under these conditions.
