Ubuntu and many other Linux distributions come loaded with a lot of useful software.  Everyone has different needs, so this doesn’t always cover everything you may need.  Today will show you how to use the Ubuntu Software Center to search for and install new software.

Updating Sofware on Ubuntu 14.04 – Episode 6

This week on Open FOSS Training we show you how to update the software installed on your Ubuntu Linux system. Unlike Windows and OSX, an update on Linux systems updates all the software on your system.  Windows and OSX just update the core operating system components.  There are some exceptions to this, but generally if you only install from Synaptic, you will be good.
